50-Hour Yoga Shanti Advanced Yoga Teacher Training with Colleen and Rodney
The Sanctuary Yoga Room, Fort Worth, TX
Therapeutics, Restorative, and Anatomy 50-Hour Advanced Training Module YS304 (Accruable to 300 Hrs). This advanced training with Colleen Saidman and Rodney Yee will focus on pranayama, sequencing, manual adjustments, and practice teaching. All sessions will be led by Colleen and Rodney and all classes will be held at The Sanctuary Yoga Room in Fort Worth, TX. Class size is limited. Students must have completed a 200-hour training and are expected to have a daily home practice.
In this module we will address the deeper fundamentals of common areas of difficulties in the body such as shoulders, wrists, elbows, lower back, hips, knees and ankles and how they are all interrelated. We will also study the energetics of these common areas of complaint. We will look at the integration of the body in movement.
In our perspective, restorative poses are the foundation for both pranayama and yoga therapeutics. When one can release deeply, the natural breath is more prominent and the body-mind comes into its optimum healing condition. Looking at the body from both western anatomy and yoga anatomy, we study a unique point of view that will give us an effective way to start studying and applying yoga therapeutics.
Immersing into the emotional component of our beings and how it is effected by the yoga practice will also be taught and explored. Using sequencing of poses and restorative poses in combination with different meditations and pranayama, we will sense the five sheaths of the yoga body (physical, pranic, mental, wisdom and bliss). Come join us in the ever magical mystery tour of yourselves!
