Dive in and explore yoga asana, meditation, and pranayama. The yoga sutras tell us that for millennia yoga has been used as a practice to observe the fluctuations of the mind and cultivate the experience of equilibrium, whatever the present moment brings. As we move from posture to posture, our goal is to find steadiness and sweetness, strengthening our ability to flow with inner and outer change. We will begin by slowly opening up the body and then turning up the heat with asana. After a creative, invigorating, and uplifting practice, we will cool down with restorative poses, pranayama, and meditation, leaving the body stretched, happy, and relaxed. You go home with a greater capacity for flowing with the ever-changing demands and opportunities that life presents. Friday to Sunday (2 nights). Tuition: $395 (not including accommodation) 10.5 Hours. CE credits available.
This is an amazing opportunity to study at with the great yoga master, Ramanand Patel, at Yoga Shanti Studio in Sag Harbor. We are leaving the subject matter open and general as Ramanand always gives what’s necessary at the time. Know that all the classes will stand on their own, yet also have great continuity.

All-Around Asana with Colleen Saidman Yee & Rodney Yee (Downtown Invoke Yoga & Pilates, Indianapolis, IN)
"Invoke is thrilled to host Colleen Saidman Yee and Rodney Yee for a very special workshop Monday, May 15 at the Cook Theater in the Indiana Landmarks Building! Colleen is a Hoosier and this will be her first time teaching in her home state!"
Colleen and Rodney will lead a well-balanced Vinyasa class with healthy sequencing through all categories of poses with emphasis on breath and gaze, to lead to the doorstep of pranayama and meditation. This practice will naturally turn students inward, towards the center of the center, leaving us empty of our habits and our expectations. Deepen your understanding of sequencing and how the nature of the practice leads us to peace. The asana practice will take place from 6:00PM to 7:30PM, followed by a 30 minute book signing of Colleen Saidman Yee’s book: "Yoga for Life: A Journey to Inner Peace and Freedom".
Location: 1201 Central Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46202 (up the street from Invoke Studio downtown)
Open Public Class with Rodney Yee & Colleen Saidman (Karuna Center for Yoga & Healing Arts, Northampton, MA)
ASANA 103 (ADVANCED TRAINING AND THERAPEUTICS)
This course assumes a good understanding of yoga asana and/or completion of NYTT’s Asana 102 Module. It is intended to take individuals deeper into an exploration of the inner and outer form of the poses. How to instruct clearly, including a knowledge of variations and adjustments in poses, will also be covered more in-depth. We will begin exploring the principles of sequencing poses, as well as how to move through a vinyasa-type practice in a safe manner. Naada Yoga’s specific sequence will also be explored, as well as how this can be integrated with sound to create a clear and stable focus of breath, body, sensation and movement. April 27th and 28th from 6:00PM-9:00PM, then the 29th and 30th from 9:00AM-5:00PM.

Three classes taught by Rodney & Colleen:
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 11TH (9:00AM - 10:30AM)
Sweat it out to release tension and stress, leaving you clear, focused, and relaxed. Colleen and Rodney have designed this class to offer a vigorous practice that is sequenced with purpose and health in mind. A sweaty practice is followed by appropriate restorative poses, pranayama and meditation. This overall balanced class incorporates both western and eastern perspectives of health and wellness.
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 11TH (4:30PM - 6:00PM)
OPEN TWISTS TO BACKBENDS
Experience and learn some of the principles in sequencing and how open twists are great preparations for backbends. How are these poses related and how do they integrate into a seamless sequence? We will work toward deeper backbends by using open twists as preparatory poses. See and feel how the architecture of open twists complement the spinal movements of back bending. Through understanding the relationship between these two categories of poses so much is revealed about each separate category.
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 11TH (11:30AM - 1:30PM)
